The present proposals will dwarf a residential area and cause huge ptoblems as the existing infrascrture will not be able to cope. The town hall is a local asset and should be enjoyed by the locals and attract others to share it.

I remain sceptical about the involvement of the FEC whose primary interest will be profit, whereas I want the interests of PEOPLE [of CEnd] put first.
My understanding is a reported profit for SEC will be 22 million as a return on 3.5 million purchase price!!

It is just not right to sell off PUBLIC buildings - we own it - especially to foreign companies registered in tax havens

This important building should not be sold to a private company. The community should have overall control and responsibility.

The present plans go against everything that I as a resident of 50 years can accept.Bad for our town centre and profits for others who care nothing for our wonderful community. Disgraceful .

Beautiful building with so much potential to be utilised as an arts & culture venue more than it already is. It would be a travesty if this stunning, listed, building became a hotel or went to any other use that required such renovation. Pay a visit & take a tour if you've never been.

Such sad news. To take away a heart of a community and replace with a corporate business. Very upsetting. Greed over growth!

Im very sad to see that Haringey Council want to sell off the Town Hall to developers when it was purpose built for the residents and communities of Crouch End and Hornsey.
It should continue to belong to the people of Hornsey, and not sold off to make money for Haringey !

Haringey Councellors should do everything to support the use of the place by the public - its a phantastic space and selling it would be so shortsighted...

I remember having school concerts there in the late 50,s. It would be wonderful to keep it as a community asset.
