I use to live behind the middle school and the demolition of the elementary school changed the whole feel of the block. I couldn't imagine how changing it again would effect the neighborhood and the historical preservation of Hudson all together

I feel strongly that every effort needs to be made to save this historical structure. (Class of '62)

The historic portion of HMS is not only beautiful, but sentimentally valued by thousands of alumni that have walked it's halls. Not only would the demoltion of this building sadden and disappoint many who have called Hudson home, it would lessen the historical value of our city's "downtown" area. Renovations should be made, but the potential for demolition should be forgotten.

I understand one of the proposals is to raze the building and put up a parking lot. Parking for whom? There's no other school within walking distance. Yes, renovating the building may be inefficient, but there are many more pluses than minuses.

Great historic building. Nothing against building a new middle school but this building can be repourposed into a number of community uses.

I learned many things at this school. First and foremost, I learned to respect and cherish history. Save this school!

It's a beautiful and is an integral part of the historic district. What a waste of history it would be to just knock it down. What a lack of imagination.

Preserve street scape - village keeps its high value - home values increase - real estate taxes increase- school system has return of cost of building restoration and preserves historicity for ongoing revenue.

Life time resident of Hudson and former student in the 50's and 60's at what is now the Middle School on Oviatt St. I cannot for the life of me understand the need to destroy this historic structure - and at what cost? Is the Clock Tower next? Time for the citizens of Hudson to act!
