I attended this school for four years. While nostalgia is one of the things that makes me not want the building pulled down, the motivating force for me signing the petition is both the historic nature of the building and the fact that it would be replaced by a parking lot or a modern school building. Neither would enhance the surrounding neighborhood and add to the unique beauty of downtown Hudson.

I strongly favor keeping the 1927 Hudson High School portion of the middle school as part of any replacement plan for the middle school. The School Administration should not only be good stewards of our tax dollars, but of the historic architecture that in conjunction with our excellent school system has made Hudson one of the premier communities in our area.

There is absolutely no reason why a community such as Hudson cannot use its resources to preserve the historic nature of its core neighborhood while providing first class facilities for its students. WRA, down the street, has done this consistently.

Such a historical significance in our beloved home town of Hudson should be preserved with respect.

As part of an $82M "proposal" Hudson Schools has to recognize they are actually "Hudson City Schools" and the City has to step up they're participation in slowing the insanity.

1995 Hudson Alumni. I was a part of the last freshman class in that building. What a shame it would be to lose such a historical landmark in Hudson.

Please reconsider the decision to replace the middle school building on both historic and environmental issues.

We raised our children in Hudson and lived there for more than 30 years. I consider Hudson my home. We spent a good deal of time in the middle school. Our hope is that it remain standing.

A remarkable building, with many memories--such as decades of May Day celebrations on the lawn and walkway. Keep it!

For all the hoops one goes through to satisfy the regulations that Hudson holds for tradition standards I am surprised we even have to oppose this ridicules proposal. Been in Hudson since 1969. What is happening?

This is a travesty! Please do not destroy this piece of history. Hudson is so much more than "just another town". Actions such as this move us closer and closer to just that- "just another town". As a 40 year resident and graduate of this school I sincerely hope people stop and think again...think outside of the box and look for solutions that preserve those things that make Hudson stand apart and make it special!

How sad that Hudson is so proud of its century homes but is willing to let this building be torn down.
