Save Historic Davis Theatre

From a livery stable to a movie theatre ... the historic 500 seat Davis Theatre has been an icon in the small Missouri town of Higginsville since 1934. The single screen theatre (the Grand Lady), saved from the wrecking ball in 1998 by the Schwarzer family, was lovingly restored and opened with great fanfair in 1999. To be able to serve their community by offering first run movies, three smaller additional 'themed' auditoriums (the 'Safari', the 'Cosmic' and the 'Tuscan') were added in 2005. As with most 'mom & pops' in small rural areas, the updates required for digital cinema are far beyond the means of this service-to-the-community business. Without the support of ones who enjoy saving a piece of history and providing an entertainment venue for the community, these updates will not be possible. Please sign the petition and help save the DAVIS THEATRE!
