Final supporters
The Royal Agricultural University (the oldest agricultural institution in the English speaking world) has decided to sell its farm, Harnhill Manor Farm.
Students are concerned at the drawbacks of this action, including depriving students of first hand practical experience and the negative message suggested about the future of the British farming industry.
Harnhill is an invaluable asset to the University, especially to those students who attend without a farming background.
Please sign the petition to stand with students and alumni in convincing the University to withdraw the sale

The best practice in agriculture and land management is essential to maintaining and improving global biodiversity. Don't sell Harnhill Manor Farm - it is essential for students to see best practice in action to allow them to take their learnt skills out into the global environment to benefit us all.
NO FARM at a Agricultural University, this is unbelievable. What next???? My children wanted to come in a few years but now will consider other places. Don't sell the farm, you know its not the way forward......
As an ex-farms Director at the RAC, I would urge those in control to think seriously about further reducing the RAU's involvement in practical farming. Prospective agricultural students have plenty of other options and will increasingly take them
Agriculture and the farms are the biggest draw this university has. The most useful things I learnt studying there were based at Harnhill. I am so disappointed to hear about this.
The university will be useless to Agriculture students without a farm and will not be able to compete with the likes of Harper Adams. The clue is in the name it’s Royal Agricultural University not Royal Business University, I believe they are seriously misjudging their clientele. Big mistake.
I am signing to put my vote forward to not selling Harnhill Manor Farm.

Selling this is a short sited policy. Most forward thinking colleges need MORE land not less. Are you going to let Harper with its 'hands free farm' show you what can be done again!
