We need more places like Harnhill - not less. It would be an appalling short sighted waste to sell

Once these precious places disappear it is very difficult to resurrect them. Students need more training opportunities especially hands on opportunities

The country needs more places like Harnhill and more training opportunities too. If he could voice his concerns fully, then HRH Prince Charles would probably be against the idea of selling this great place. I wonder if he knows? Once gone, gone forever and invaluable opportunities would disappear with it. The RAU should be expanding not shrinking

It is incredibly damaging to the RAU to sell Harnhill - particularly at this time

Agriculture graduates must have a good understanding of practical farming if they are going to be much use to the industry and related bodies in the future. Harnhill should be retained and better used in the future to support effective agriculture learning at the RAU. The concept of an "Agricultural" education establishment with no farm would be laughable if it wasn't such a serious threat.

Just concerned that if what I have heard, the RAU is selling this due to money concerns what systems will be put in place to stop the leeching of money and the need to sell another asset in the future

I am a retired Powys County Councillor, have supported several young people (men and women) into getting a rented farm then progressing to larger farms some in the private sector also buying their own farm . Important that this farm is retained.

Gooding presided over the destruction of seventy years of performance recorded sheep genetics in Aberystwyth. I hope he doesn’t ruin your college too!

The fact that the RAU had Harnhill was a key factor in my decision to apply to this university. It's an invaluable practical learning resource and selling it would be a huge loss. First Rachael Foy leaves and now the university is selling the farm. What is to become of this institution? How is selling up a good example to the next generation of farmers with such uncertain times ahead?

What an unbelievably stupid decision for the university to make. Perhaps they should look to get rid of the incapable Jo Price who is single handedly destroying the reputation of the college and environment that it operates in and almost certainly overpaid! she is inept and has ruined what was once a well regarded institution #firejoprice

The experience of working with different types of livestock is invaluable and is not available in Coates.
