We the undersigned reject the idea of a volunteer-run library in Hale. We totally oppose Hale and Old Trafford being singled out as the only two libraries in Trafford to be scheduled for the withdrawal of almost all professional staff; Hale is one of the most successful libraries in Trafford and this is due to the skills and experience of the staff which can never be replaced by volunteers. We ask that you listen to the views of local residents and users of the library.
