PETITION FOR A #SAFEINDIA
To,
THE HON’BLE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA,
WHEREAS,
We urge the Respected Prime Minister of India to look into forthwith, the changes required in the legal system for eradicating sexual harassment/ Rape cases in India.
At the same time, to have precautionary measures to protect innocent persons from false cases.
WE THE UNDERSIGNED, stand for the following :
- To appoint separate and Special Courts/ Authority/ Wing / Fast track Courts, exclusively for handling only sexual harassment/ Rape cases in order to provide speedy trials and its outcome.
- To establish Special Authorities/ Committees to create awareness in the society in respect of sexual harassment/ Rape cases and the consequences of the offence.
- To carry amendments in the procedural and penal laws.
- To make self defence as a compulsory subject in schools for girls since a primary age.
- To make precautionary measures to protect innocent persons from false cases and malicious prosecution.
We the people of India, request for the above amendments in the legal system for a safe India.
Hence, this Petition for immediate consideration. Expecting early actions and reply.

I have spent my nights reading through your stories and they serve as a painful reminder of why this fight is so necessary. My sleeves are rolled up and I am currently drafting formal requests to the offices that have the power to implement these court reforms. We cannot afford to let this momentum fade away when so many lives are still at risk.

The momentum behind this plea for safety shows how many people are hurting and demanding real change. Reading through your stories reminds me why I started this fight for my family and for all of us. We are finally forcing a conversation that has been avoided for far too long.

Enough is enough. It should not be scary for a woman to step outside her own house. We need fast track courts now.
Self defence classes in schools is a good idea. my daughter needs to know how to protect herself because the system is just too slow.

Laws need a serious update but we also have to protect against fake cases which ruin lives. Justice should be for everyone.
