I'm opposed to additional retail. I want my neighbor to remain a safe place for my 4 children to play without the additional traffic. We have enough retail development on Elmwood Ave.

retail belongs on Main Street or Elmwood. A small variance for a coffee shop and a variance for a small convenience store make sense. A retail mall is inappropriate within the buffalo and renassance

This is not Amherst. We don't need big box stores in this neighbourhood. Respect the scale of the surrounding neighbourhood and support small, local businesses.

Keep the commerce in a sensible proportion to the residential nature of this area. A decent bodega or small grocery store, a laundromat, a coffee shop, a bakery... a few small shops would make sense for local use and walk-up and not overload local parking or traffic flow.

I am a Delaware Avenue resident living one-half mile from Gates Circle and I strongly oppose the rezoning of this area that would create another shopping area.

The retail opportunities on Main Street have been growing and will continue to do so. It would be to TM Montante's advantage to focus retail there.

This area of the city is an integral part of the "City in a Park" plan set forth by Frederick Law Olmsted and should, at least for it's historic and architectural beauty, not be subjugated to becoming an extension of the 21st century uglification of our city just when it is in the midst of a rejuvenation. Keep it residential and move the retail into the existing retail zoned areas three blocks east, one block north and one block west. that is certainly within acceptable shopping distance!

100,000 sq foot would be okay on Main, not on Linwood Ave. Montane said that they would keep the Olmstead feel of the neighborhood. This would not.
