This is a residential area that has had a 100 year reputation for preserving its history. Changing that by adding retail components such a shopping plaza will damage the look and feel of the neighborhood

Absolutely NO to big retail in this historic Olmstead location in our beautiful neighborhood. Keep a close watch on the planning board as variances have a way of being rammed through to our dismay. When it's a done deal, it's too late.

Residential neighborhoods should be comfortable. This city has not even remotely exhausted its commercial areas and those should be the places to develop into shopping areas, not quiet tree-lined streets...

Traffic on Lafayette is already problematic with truck traffic and people constantly speeding and passing on the inside and outside regardless of painted lines. To add unlimited retail at the end of our street would only exacerbate the problem not to mention decrease property values. Please, do not approve this change in zoning.

Montante is doing a great thing with their original plan but this rezoning gives too much leeway to ruin the neighborhood for the sake of profit and "progress". Let things stand the way they are - it's enough for any responsible civic minded company.

Gates Circle should not look like a north Buffalo-Elmwood retail strip. Keep it to scale and don't cannibalize existing retail.

The proposed rezoning is inappropriate and misguided for this area, which is much too small and residential for the proposed new zoning category. The blanket approval for this large-scale commercial project speaks to a total disregard for the reality of the housing situation, the traffic flow, and the quality of life for area residents. Citizens should count as much as developers when it comes to making these decisions.

As the recent accident that destroyed the fountain area demonstrates, Gates Circle traffic is dangerous. In additiion to preserving the Olmsted Parkways and historic nature of the neighborhood, the idea of retail parking adding to the traffic chaos that already exists there is frightening!

Gates Circle is a beautiful entryway to the City. Please keep it residential. There are shopping centers a few blocks away on Delaware and Elmwood. We don't need another plaza. Commercial space is needed downtown and on Main St where there are plenty of buildings waiting to be inhabited.

A blanket rezoning is unnecessary. Allow the neighborhood to participate in the process by asking for a variance as needed, Larger scale commercial development should happen on Main Street, where there is a greater need.
