Please keep the care home as this is important for our community and for elder people. The care provided and smaller size is paramount compared to big homes. Thanks

It is a wonderful care home. I think it's awful to try & close this council run home. What is going to happen to the vulnerable people there. Some gave been there for years. Also dedicated staff that have been there for years . Cost cutting again !!!

We need this in the community, it’s not right to close this essential care service.

I worked in a spare room there as a homecare supervisor. The staff are so friendly and treat people with respect. Please don't shut it. These special people need to care for the elderly and the elderly need them to. A warm and stable and comfortable place to end thier days. I think the elderly are treated by the government disgracefully. Come on MP'S be kind for once.

We need to ensure older generations stay within local communities. They need to be close to family and friends for positive physical and mental wellbeing.

Garth Olwg Residential Care Home is a part of the fabric of our community. Having lived all my life in the area with my own children singing Christmas Carols there from Junior school, I often thought that should I ever require care in my senior years it would be there. Come on RCT cut your cloth somewhere else.

With increase in the elderly population how does closure of Garth Oleg make sense. The Welsh Government should demonstrate commitment to our older generation. This is especially as the retirement age has been increased and people because of work and pension commitments are not around to care for elderly relatives. Add to the need for grandparents to provide child care makes these places so very important.

Please reconsider this, as we have very few homes in the south of the county
