This care home is an essential part of our community and has been for years. The care provided to the residents is exceptional. There’s always a long waiting list for residency which shows the home is desperately needed.

My nan works here and she is a really lovely and caring woman and it would be a real shame to see her unhappy as she is a big lover of the job and takes extreme care of all the elderly

After people have worked hard all their lives the least they deserve is the care and support given by a Care Home. This can sometimes be life saving for people who are unable to care for themselves, with no families to help. One day top Council bosses will need care home..!

Stop targeting the sick, elderly and young - they are always the first to suffer - these elderly people have already had to adapt to leaving their home and independence behind and now you, as a council, are failing them again - and that is besides the staff who are mostly on zero
hours working their fingers to the bone and still showing care and compassion!!!!!

My Great nan lived here and had amazing care. We can not let these independent living complexes take over this home. Many elderly cant cope with change or learning to become independant again.Garth Olwg is a wonderful home with exceptional caring staff and managers.

This home deserves to stay open. My mother was a resident here for years, initially coming here from her own home, that she could no longer live in independently, even with carers , but as soon as she settled here she thrived and we had a few more years with mam thanks to the amazing CARE she recieved. It is a truely lovely place for our elderly families to live. The thought of my mother living in one of these idependent living facilities filled me with dread, as i bet a lot of families feel at the moment. Shame on RCTCBC for failing to care for our precious elderly
It’s one of the best homes
We need this facility in our community
Please keep the reside home!
