We, the undersigned Delran residents, urge the Delran Town Council and Board of Education to maintain FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN in our school district.
Kindergarten is a pivotal year for our young children. Studies show that children who attend full-day programs learn more in literacy and mathematics than half-day kindergarten. There are also many worthwhile activities in kindergarten classes beyond formal instruction in academic subjects. The additional time broadens their social as well as academic experiences. 2 hours and 35 minutes a day is not sufficient time to set our children up for success for their future years in Delran schools.
Many people move to Delran to raise their families because of the education system. Please do not eliminate the full-day kindergarten program that has helped to give Delran the reputation of having great schools!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. We pay enough in taxes to have full day kindergarten for our kids.
Kids need the extra time to socialize. Dont shortchange their education.
Delran schools used to be the gold standard. Dont ruin it now by cutting the programs that actually work.
Seriously? 2 hours is barely enough time to even cover the basics. Keep full day!
Half days make it impossible for working parents. We need this for our kids to actually learn something.

My son is thriving in the full day program. Taking that away is a huge mistake for the town.
