We need to appreciate Mother Nature more.

I support the City rejecting this proposal. Newark has already lost too many natural spaces where some of us played as children. I hope our elected officials continue to protect what little is left of our natural habitats.

Thank you for creating this petition. The roads will not be safe if NCS build those baseball fields! It will increase traffic on a already narrow road.

I am proud the city had enough sense to reject the proposal. Let's continue to prioritize our environmental initiatives, including increasing the tree canopy. Instead of more clearcutting of natural spaces for development, revitalize the already available spaces.

Why not use the land closer to the school? This would clear forest, which benefits all year round, and instead increase traffic, devalue the neighboring houses, and increase noise pollution when there is already a baseball field 1 mile close to the school on casho mill

Please use existing fields and leave our trees alone!

Wild spaces are not wasteful. There are many locations already robbed of diversity. Sacrifice no forest for a field.

We should not be reducing the open ecological habitat remains in this city. I strongly oppose this action. I am a native Newark resident and work in an environmental field. Please oppose this action.

As someone who grew up in this area I am opposed to seeing another wild place key to biodiversity and ecosystem health developed

There's not much forest left. Hands off.

Delaware is such a small state. Destroying more of its nature would be a shame.

This proposal must be halted immediately. Further deforestation will only worsen the flooding this area of Newark already deals with. No more greedy land grabs for private institutions.
