I graduated two years ago. When I enrolled to evergreen I had hoped to enroll in a lithography class sadly that was cut. When the print studio was shut down for the move to the new location, I filled the void with photography. The skills I learned to train my eyes to color variances I use everyday at work. I learned a great deal contemplating capturing light spending all day in a dark basement. My daughter is considering going to evergreen next year, I hope she will have the opportunities I did.

This makes no sense all. I find it not only sad but terrifying. This is part of a process that seems to be aimed at destroying the arts at Evergreen. Without the arts Evergreen cannot survuve.

For obvious reasons the color facilities at Evergreen are an asset and taking them away makes no sense. The people in charge of this decision know nothing about the significance of having one of the few remaining color labs in the country, throwing it away is a mistake.

I was a student in "Visual Music in 16mm and 35mm Direct Animation" 2017 and gained so much knowledge through hands on learning in the dark room. Please stop taking the art away from the liberal arts college, Evergreen.

It is absolutely insane that Evergreen is defunding Photoland. The current administration seems to have either lost its mind, or to never have had a mind to lose. I've been watching everything I love about my alma mater being dismantled. This is just more of the same. Knock it off, George.

The color darkroom and Photoland in general are so important to the Evergreen community and others who come to use our facilities! It is an amazing education opportunity for students and also helps to keep students employed. Shutting down the color darkroom would be a big loss to Photoland, Evergreen, and the students.

why is it that white people in positions of power always feel that they know best, yet they dismiss the communities
concern for the arts esp color darkroom when this is one of the 4 renaming community accessible darkrooms in the country. . . Wasicu are wild
