Save East Wells, our marine life is very important so is our eco system which East Wells are a part off. Money is not everything, make this area a protected area by The Bahamas National Trust!
New development not only destroy the mangroves ( which protects the island from our number one natural disaster), but you are destroying apart of Bimini's history. Yes, your venture might bring more money to the economy but at what cost. I endorsed this petition 100%

Growing up on Bimini, Eastwell was always some where special to visit during spring and summer breaks to pick sea grapes and coco plums. I always thought it was protected. It feels like our governments are just prostituting the country. One day soon hopefully our leaders would realize that investors want to be here and will be wise enough to stop giving away our birthright. All of this expansion has changed the landscape of Bimini. Just look at Spook Hill. How much more Mr PM, Mrs MP and Mr MOTA?
As a Bahamian from Bimini I am distressed at the blatant ignorance of our sustainability built on our history as the first global ecotourism island of The Bahamas. The greed and abuse of our world heritage community is a crime.

I remember when I was younger our caretaker would take us out on a small boat to East Well to pick coco plums and sea grapes as well as getting crabs for dinner. East well is very important to the people and wild life that makes Bimini.
