East Knox County does not have the infrastructure to support this or any other development. There has been too much already. Our roads and schools cannot handle anymore. We have no desire to be overcrowded like Farragut, Hardin Valley, Powell or Sevier County.

There are many communities closer to town in dire need of renewing - our rural areas are precious and do not have the infrastructure to maintain this exponential growth so many developers are determined to facilitate to the detriment of our county.

I am a homeowner on Thorn Grove Pike in Strawberry Plains and am vehemently against rezoning precious agricultural land. Knox County and East Tennessee at large has redeveloped too much and too fast. Our infrastructure cannot keep up with this growth and we are losing our cherished rural way of life. I implore you NOT to approve this rezoning effort.

194 apartments will be a possible 384+ vehicles. Pleasant hill road barely has enough room to pass another vehicle and not to mention 50% of the vehicles that travel this road are doing 40 to 50 mph.

I don’t agree with building new houses and taking away our way of life in our community. We don’t have infrastructure in place to accommodate all this growth in housing developments. No rezoning without having adequate services for our own community needs.

We’ve lost enough Agricultural property to these over zealous developers that are not of our communities and have no local interest in Knoxville or probably not even East Tennessee in general. If we don’t stop this type of destructive behavior we’ll all have to live in complexes such as this. When it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
