Please stop this development. We live here because of the rural atmosphere, less traffic, and natural beauty. We don't need more development and increased traffic. I doubt if the people making these decisions are impacted by the results.

This Neighborhood Doesn't Need All Them New Apts. We Have Children & Animals That Play & With All Them New Apts, You'd Never Be Able To Get Out Of Our Driveways. Our Road On Pleasant Hill, Is Way To Small For All That Traffic. We Bought Our Home On Pleasant Hill Road Because It Was A Nice Quite Neighborhood & We Wanted To Live The Rest Of Our Years Here Peacefully. Now You All Wanna Bring 194 Apts. That's A Lot Of Vehicles, Drugs, Theifs, & Just Way To Much To Have To Deal With. I Feel It Is A Very Bad Idea. Thank You.

I imagine that when the people of this community moved here they did so because it was quiet and peaceful and they enjoyed their space. Never did they say, "I can't wait for this area to be developed", but here we are, fighting developers for our quality of life. Traffic on Asheville Hwy and Strawberry Plains Pike has become terrible, the roads are not in good shape, schools are full, ( teachers and bus drivers are not easy to come by, just in case you were wondering ) you will strain utilities, the list goes on and on. Leave this peaceful community alone, go build your junk somewhere else

We have enough housing developments this way. We need way more road construction, before we even think about housing. A big example is Breakbill road. It is a disaster.

I am not in favor of this proposed rezoning. The neighbors and residents that live here didn’t move into our area or remain living here for rezoned land and apartment buildings. The neighbors and residents of East Knox County remain because of rural living and green spaces that were intended to stay green spaces. We do not want this land rezoned.

This rezoning 4-B-26-RZ can not happen realistically. Dumping what is considered to be an urban population density into a rural area is basically creating a planned failure for that population. No public transport, nothing within reasonable walking distance for food, medical care, and other necessities, . Existing infrastructure is based on rural demands and is deficient at that.
Not to mention the effect on the population that is already here who chose to live in the rural area.
The possibility that this apartment complex is destined to decay into a slum is great, unfortunately, because it will be isolated from the usual businesses and services that help support the typical urban dwellers.
I implore everyone to not approve this plan and avoid a disaster!
