The scale of this response confirms the widespread opposition to the mining proposal. My team is now preparing the formal documentation required to present these concerns to the Northumberland County Council planning committee.

OPEN CAST MINING IS A DISASTER. LEAVE THE BAY ALONE!!!!!!
My kids grew up playing on these sands. Please dont let them destroy such a beautiful part of northumberland for money.

Such a lovely part of the coast. Its madness to even consider digging it all up.
