I have followed this project from the beginning. I do not feel this project has the financial planning to succeed. The green space they have chosen is not a good location. You would be placing it right in the middle of our most vulnerable population. The elderly and our children. I am not comfortable with this. Our downtown is finally shaping back up and becoming the area I remember growing up. Good things are happening. I would support this project in a different location if the financial planning was in black and white and not on a leap of faith. The Y is to important to our community to go under if this project fails.

There's other places to put this building. Not DeWitt Park. So close to a senior building. Children's center and day care. Clean up the site on 4th Ave south and tear the other building down. That's a perfect place. Or there's lots of other empty lots from other torn down houses.

One or two public entities should not usurp the right of citizens of a community in order to to make a very bad and unsafe and unsound sale. The ground needs to be kept entrusted to the greatest majority of Clinton’s citizens.

you shouldn't have to destroy the trees and the park to build in Dewitt park. There are a lot of other options If you would just make an effort to look.
