Keep the farm as greenspace and develop some sort of park. I am opposed to selling and opposed to any sort of commercial endeavor or healthcare facility being there.

Once a space like this is developed it’s gone forever. We must save these greenspaces and honor the dead buring in the pauper’s cemetery.

We don't need more disturbances and destruction of our gorgeous landscape by developers. We need to leave it alone instead of damaging the environment.

The best way to honor the history of the property and the integrity of the land is to preserve this as a green space/low impact park. With substantial residential development on all sides of the property, there is strong potential for use and equally strong need to preserve open green spaces.

There are times when decisions need to made that are far reaching and affect our lives in ways that are not determined by money. The County Farm is one of them for the benefit of all in the county, not just the county budget and the desire to grow the tax base.

As our county is being bulldozed right and left, we MUST actively work to preserve greenspace. This historic property embodies the pastoral beauty of East Tennessee and should be preserved for future generations.

This land, with meadows and mature-forest trees and wetlands is an extremely valuable antidote to the climate-emergency, with heat waves and other weather calamities already, which will worsen as more trees and green space are lost. As a park, it will allow for wholesome recreation for country residents, as well as education concerning the healing and other important benefits of landscape features such as forests and wetlands. Please keep the County Farm as a public asset, as a park.

Parks and green space strengthen communities, attract current and new residents, and encourage increased physical activity to provide health benefits for all income levels. There is unending value in preserving land for today's and tomorrow's citizens to enjoy.
