We are the stakeholders of Colegio La Piedad community. We are parents, teachers, administrators, coaches, athletes, alumni, parishioners, neighbors, business owners, voters, politicians, government and so much more.
Through the years we have educated over 20,000 young minds in the Christian faith graduating 44 classes with exceptional 99.9% college admissions rating. We have seen adversity firsthand through hurricanes, earthquakes, political unrest, and yes… pandemics!. But we are a community of faith, compassion, strength, and determination.
We UNITE to face whatever life throws our way. We believe that our mission does not end just because the road becomes difficult. We want to be part of the decision process to FIND a solution that allows the continuation of Colegio La Piedad’s mission to serve for many years to come.
We call on the Passionist Brothers to allow Colegio La Piedad to continue to prioritize the needs of this faithful community. We invite you to get to know us, and so we can sit at the table with you. Closing our school should be a measure of last resort.

I have been reading through the stories you all are leaving in the comments and my heart is completely full. This whole experience has shown me that the spirit of our school is alive and stronger than ever because of the people reading this right now. Please know that I am doing my absolute best to carry this forward on your behalf.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have come together to advocate for our school. This outpouring of support belongs entirely to you because you are the ones keeping our mission alive.

Salvemos el Colegio La Piedad! Una institución que ha dado excelentes profesionales
I'm from the 1978 class, the 3 rd graduating class. I hope we can save this historic institution.
Class of 1982, my daughter is from the class of 2017. Volunteer for more than 10 years supporting different areas. Also I have experience the values and cores represented in the comunity. They alway strived for academic excellence.
La Piedad's students, teachers, faculty all had a huge impact in my life! It laid the foundation that helped me build the confidence to become a USNAVY veteran, web developer, artist, all through the years maintaining close friendships with this community all into the 21st century in hopes that we can keep this landmark school from closing.
I think you should have reached out to alumni for yearly contributions to help keep the school open. I would have gladly contributed!!!
I spent 10 years of my life teaching English to Colegio La Piedad’s high school students. My two children graduated from CLP. My colleagues and administrators were talented, compassionate persons. My students were wonderful kids. I understand that institutions go through hard times, and I also understand that where there is a will, there is a way. If the ink on the bill of sale has already dried, I will mourn the loss of this wonderful school along with all the rest of the CLP community.
Un colegio de excelencia.
