Due to budget cuts Cobb County schools are considering cutting all Music and Extra curricular (art, gym, etc.) programs. We cannot let them do this to us! These are essential for our learning and brain development. We must be able to expand our learning abilities with music and art. Our future generation needs to know how to take care of their bodies and how to stay in the shape the right way. Gym/PE teaches us this. It is vital that we keep these beloved programs to enhance our learning experience. Please help save our programs!
The stories shared in the comments are heartbreaking. People are already feeling the loss of these programs before they are even gone.

The momentum is undeniable now. Seeing this much support tells me the district cannot ignore us.

I'm in the band program, and it is my favorite class of the day. I get through the day just to go to band.

connections help us. We need these little brakes. They are like our ressece. They also help us learn. For all the music programs you need to be really smart. it's is also very good for your hand eye coordination. It also gives us some time to socialize. Its either in those periods or periods where we shouldn't be talking.

Honestly losing connections classes would be terrible. I would be really sad if they took them away because i love playing the flute but wouldn't have time if they got rid of band class!

I went to Dodgen last year, and I took chorus. I loved it so much, and cutting the music programs won't do any good. Same with gym. We have obestiy on this country... Gym could help a little.
