The school board finally backed down and voted to keep our doors open. We forced these bureaucrats to respect our history instead of tearing it apart for a quick buck. Stay sharp because we need to ensure they actually follow through on this commitment.

Save Charles Carroll Elementary School is devoting its energy to passionately advocating for our small community school. In a time of rapid expansion and urban growth this small 90-year-old school, where pictures from the class of 1926 still hang on the walls, stands apart.
Save Charles Carroll Elementary School is a vocal advocate for the Silver Run / Union Mills communities. Charles Carroll Elementary School serves many functions beyond the primary mission of educating children. Charles Carroll is the social, recreational and cultural foundation of our community and should not be closed.

One hundred people have signed on to stop the school board from tearing the heart out of our neighborhood. This board thinks we will just roll over and let them shutter an institution that has stood for ninety years.

Our community cannot survive without our school. This is the most sturdy school building in the entire county. Our school has 85% enrollment. Close a school that has much less enrollment! People move to the area so their children and grandchildren can attend this u
Charles Carroll is an amazing school in a community filled with caring families. Our community has been promised repairs and been neglected for too long. It is time to show this community the respect, care and follow through they deserve.
As Charles Carroll is the oldest elementary school in the county, I attended the school grades one through six and I taught fourth grade there and did substituting I sign this petition with the hope that this building remains open to serve future generations .
Little 5 year olds should not be on school busses for almost two hours a day! Local schools are very important at such a young age. Repairs have been budgeted for in the past but not completed. Either fix this one or build on on the north side of Westminster.
Please keep Charles Carroll School an operating educational facility now and in the future. The school is the heart of our community. Cutting out that heart would, if nothing else, cause property values to plummet.

It's a great school that should stay. I have great memories there and still a time capsule buried there that I tend to dig up some time.

It is sad that the BOE has decided to close the only community school we have in the Charles Carroll community. Our town is very small and doesn't have its own government. The City of Westminster isn't standing up for our school, so we, as individuals are stepping up to defend our community's heart.
