It is sad that the BOE has decided to close the only community school we have in the Charles Carroll community. Our town is very small and doesn't have its own government. The City of Westminster isn't standing up for our school, so we, as individuals are stepping up to defend our community's heart.

What about the quality of education that these children will be getting when you over crowd classrooms because you have closed our community school. We deserve a local public school. We moved here 16 years ago because we felt that the school system in Carroll County was one of the best in Maryland. Now you are going to close our local school. We elected these officials to do what is in the best interest of the students and community and they are not doing it.

The residents of this community deserve a local public school. There is no other school nearby. These young students would have an unreasonable bus ride to go to any other existing school

My children both went to Charles Carroll. We loved the school! I think it is important to keep our younger children as close to home as possible. A five year old child should not have to commute to kindergarten. The rec programs are also valuable to our neighborhood.

This school holds so many memories for my children and so many, others...If you have something worth so much to so many, you do what you have to do to keep it going and even improve it, not take it away!...It needs to be saved and closing it, is wrong. It's a beautiful school, full of history, memories and love!!

Charles carroll is a excellent scholl,with a amazing staff closing charles carroll is a mistake to our childten, to our community. The closing will hurt our community (who wants to buy a home where children have to be bussed long distance just for a education while there sits a wonderful school yes it needs repairs if v repairs would had been happening year sheet year the school wouldn't need the repairs it needs now. I dont want my child on a bus for 45 min just because someone decided to close or school. I don't want my child getting home 45 mins later beca use someone decided to close our school. I don't want my community to know longer have a school where people want to purchase a home. Closing our school is a mistake, make the repairs do whatever needs to be done so our school stays open for our children.
