SAVE CALICO! I just moved to Middletown, but I have been a long-time fan of Kevin Smith's movies and the clown's frequent cameos in his movies. WE WILL PUT IT IN OUR YARD IF NECESSARY!!!!!!!

I propose that the residents and The Condo Boards of Colonial Square, Kings Landing, and the Knollwood Garden Apt Complex Owners, as well as any other devoted neighbors or interested Community Activist Organizations collaborate and acquire our beloved "Calico". Let's agree on a common, "Upscale", location for our Calico across the King's Hwy on the side of our residences so he can overlook the "Upscale", Village 35, and continue to smirk/smile as business booms or fails, and traffic moves or stalls. It will be something to smile/smirk at as we are late for our NJ Transit Train to work. Calico is a Jersey Shore Artistic Icon who's original place is here with us. When "Village 35", fails, and a bunch of status Quo stores and empty parking lot space remains for teens to converge to hang out and ride skateboards and socialize ( don't have ANY objection to this!) , Our Calico will be there with the most perfect and appropriate facial expression to reinforce and convey our sentiments: that WE DIDNT NEED ANY MORE GREEN SPACE IN MIDDLETOWN VIOLATED FOR SHOPPING, MOVIE THEATERS, CHAIN RESTAURANTS, AND TRAFFIC JAMS!!! Let's act to keep our Beloved, extremely Valuable Local Treasure In its original place so it continues to be an Historic Icon to help tell the tragic story of how one of the most beautiful country roads and drive was spoiled due to political and Corporate Greed! No wonder Calico was born with that expression - It was prophetic!!!!

Condos? A mall? Yes, that's exactly what is needed. Soulless, unimaginative, short-sighted money hungry leeches suck what little soul remains and then run to their McMansions in Rumson, Holmdel and West Windsor. Forgive me if I find it a bit difficult to muster any sympathy for you when the next housing bubble eventually bursts.

Wow how unimaginative to put more condos and a mall when it isn't needed. What a waste.
