Cutting youth services are a very short sighted decision. LBH needs to invest in our young people and Haringey's future.

Cannot even believe that this is being contemplated. I live in Bruce Grove, where will these young people go? Think!!

Disgrace! Pay consultants £1k a day but remove youth services. This isn't Labour!

Young people need places to be together and in safe, warm, decently appointed places. We owe them this. Young people did not cause the financial crash. Young people have not allowed the deficit to spiral. Young people are all our futures. They must be cared for.

Shocked the council would consider closing a youth centre in Tottenham after the riots. This is dangerous behaviour and must not happen!

The youth workers are very good with my sons in Haringey. Why would you be so shortsighted to cut them. It is a comfort whilst I work two jobs that my sons are off the street and safe.

Community can still be fragile - cutting things like this puts "regeneration" back decades. Don't.

Haringey council are going too far, it spends money on consultants, agency temps, an overpaid ceo and glossy brochures whilst our children go without. Labour in Haringey need to stop being Tories

The council claim in their corporate plan that they are moving towards 'early help' and then propose to cut the only service which works universally with all young people to concentrate on young people at high risk. It is a huge contradiction. It is also a complete lie to cut a service by £2.1m, the total budget for the youth service andd tell the public including young people this is 'investing'. The voluntary sector is also being cut so to insinuate this is how services will be provided in the future is a known lie. Stop overpaying consultants to write silly plans and start looking after our youth.
