Cutting youth services is a shortsighted response to this governments ideologically driven austerity and does not save money in the medium to long term. Youn gpeoiple in Haringey have already lost so much already and we urge the council to consult meaningfully with young people and take their views into account. Youth services change lives and youth work provides a vital link for many young people who are already greatly disadvantaged in the services they have available.

Unbelievable! Spending thousands on consultants and now asking young people to pay. Labour in Haringey are a disgrace. Kober must resign

As a Tottenham resident I am horrified to hear the council is thinking about closing the Bruce Grove centre. It has served our community for over 70 years and is very well used at the moment.

Haringey Council are urged to consider the value for money of a youth centre and the supportive environment it provides for young people relative to less worthy items of expenditure.

Why close a perfectly viable and long standing facility for young people? It doesn't make sense......

What an awful thing to happen to Tottenham. Even under Thatcher the council protected this centre. Shame on the councillors!

Haringey council's youth workers are the only council staff respected by the community. How dare you insult them! Disgrace!!

Have Haringey council lost their minds? We had riots! Stop trying to score political points with your "savings". You are irresponsible.

my daughter and grandkids live in Wood Green. They deserve a youth centre, a place where they can be safe, meet friends and have their horizons broadened. A safe place where they can meet trained staff and volunteers to help them become active, responsible citizens

What this council has written in it's consultation is a lie and for that I support the young people of our borough.

Disgusted to hear what Haringey council are proposing. These are not cuts, they are choices. This is the same council spending £1,050 a day on a consultant! Priorities!!!

Outrageous to cut this. Invest in our young people or it costs more
