Lets try and keep Bob open. The Nisa is big enough what more can they sell? And it will only cause more traffic on what is already a very busy part of Kells Lane.

Shame on you Nisa, my family has been using Bob's butchers for three generations and totally disgusted that a certain mans greed will end this. As a family we don't eat meat from anywhere else so I'm furious this is being allowed to happen.

Although I no longer live in Gateashead I was shocked to hear that Bob is being forced to close his shop. Three generations of my family have shopped at Hunter,s Butchers, first at George's shop in Bensham and then at Bob's in Kells Lane. Not only does the shop provide high quality produce but as an individual business it gives character to the area. I hope that the local shops can be saved.
