It's shameful that they may be forced to close, after so many years of serving their community so well. I won't go near Nisa/Barratts again if this happens.

This is by far the best butchers in low fell, what a damn disgrace. I for one won't spend another penny in nisa until I know this is not going ahead

Bobs is an amazing establishment that MUST be saved. A thriving business, which helps to generate customers for the other shops as people travel to shop at Bobs. Without it the other shops will suffer, including the Nisa. I want choice of shops not a bigger Nisa. I worry for the future of the bakers and Salad Bowl if the planned expansion goes ahead.

I've lived away from Low Fell since 1997. Every time I'm home I always call into see Bob, and he always stops what he's doing to come around to the front of the counter, and asks about my life and my family here in Canada. He has never forgot me. You don't get that in big stores. It'll be a sad day when Bobs is no longer there!!!!!!!!

Can't believe this. Shocking. I've moved away but still travel to hunters for my meat. Best butchers ever x

I drive or walk from Bensham every week to buy my meat at Hunter's. The meat is top quality, all the staff are lovely and friendly and give great advice. After the butchers I pop into the Salad Bowl (another gem of a business) and I'll often pop into the baker's too. Please don't kill this thriving little oasis by moving Hunter's!

A great shop that helps brings business to the other shops around as they all thrive off one another. If Nisa takes over then other peoples businesses will suffer.

Very disappointing to hear this. I am a regular at Hunters (wonderful meats and the best sausages ever!). This gradual erosion of the independent businesses is sad and will undoubtedly impact on the others since they all help support each other. It would be regrettable if these fabulous little shops were lost!
