I grew up in Brookline and went to highschool in Bluehill. What makes Bluehill amazing is pits small town charm, the fact that everyone knows everyone, and it's a tight knit community. Let's keep it that way!

I don't want this type of business in our town. I feel it will pave the way for other businesses of this type and its not the type of community I want for Blue Hill.

There's a family Dollar in Ellsworth and Bucksport. Also, our Rite Aid sells similar products

Would be a shame to bring in Big Box Stores. It's a nice town and would become just another trashy strip mall

I am concerned about the destruction of America's smaller communities by large retail chains. We must cherish the unique character of these towns, not turn them into cookie cutter places that no one will want to visit and where no one can make a living.

The historic quality of Blue Hill cannot be measured in dollars, but it will certainly be diminished by a Dollar Store. Stop this developer before it is too late.

Blue Hill is not large enough to support a Family Dollar store.

Zoning laws must be changed or this won't be the last "box" that tries to set up shop.

Keep Dollar General out of Blue Hill! It would change the quaint seaside town feeling with it's cheap Chinese made products.

We do not need a cheap China store. We have Rite Aid for the same type of products! Let's improve the quality of life and not support stores that sell throwaway, one time use items.

The less franchise stores in Blue Hill, the better. Dunking Donuts and Subway are already too much. Jobs are low-paying and degrade those educated on the peninsula, whom have received solid schooling. We can do better and to introduce lowest common denominator type stores such as Family Dollar, we are allowing our community to fall far beneath what we should accept as our standards. There is NO place in Blue Hill for such bottom-feeding retailers. Ellsworth has these stores and is 20 minutes away. So does Bucksport. Let those that want these stores travel to them,
as is their right, but do not allow them to poison our community with their grim and forboding presence. Blue Hill is better than this!!
