This has been a vital service for me in times of need with my two children, aged 10 and 6. My doctors surgery never has enough nurses to see us for last minute accidents or illnesses and these are not needy of a hospital trip so the walk in centre is always a useful service and first option for us.

To close the Bitterne Walk-In Centre will only put more pressure on already over-stretched health/medical services

uless they sort out dr surgeries to get better appointment and quicker appointment times.... this center is a way to take pressure of the er. it would be reckless to close it as so many use it and need it more so when their local surgery is closed

I find the walk in center extremely useful, especially as it is local, it would be a shame to get rid of it, what about for the elderly people who can't really travel far in the area....they need it here too

A lot of vulnerable people rely on this including my extremely ill sister please dont take this away as she cannot travel far to get help when she needs it.

I've needed this centre several times over the past 20 months since my son was born, to close this and have the only alternative to A&E at the general the west of the Itchen is unacceptable. Not all of Southampton residents live west of the Itchen.

After the fight that was put up only a few months ago and the repreive given after the NHS Trust said they would listen to people, this proposal now is the height of hypocracy. The earlier arguments still stand. Where do people go if they are very poorly and can't get a doctors appointment, particularly out of hours, particularly if they don't have a car? In February I cam down with tonsilitis for the first time on a Thursday. My Drs surgery repetedly told me they had no appointments until the Monday. By the Saturday morning I was in so much pain I couldn't swallow and it was AT BITTERNE WALK IN CENTRE, I was seen and treated! Had I not been it would probably have been a trip to A&E.

The walk-in centre is invaluable to people living on the Bitterne side of the water. It is invaluable to people. It saves people using the A&E at the General and also helps relieve pressure on Minor Injuries at South Hants. get little enoug

I have used the BWIC several times over the last few years.If this place wasn't open, I çouldn't have wasted days or even weeks to see a doctor.My only other option would have been to taken myself to A&E which would have put more strain on the General and make me feel a fraud as my reason for visiting the BWIC was not life threatening that required medical assistance within a few hours.However, I wouldn't have been able to wait to see my own doctor.The BWIC relieves the pressure from the A&E Departments which should be kept purely for life threatening conditions.The BWIC plays a vital role in freeing up the hospitals.Closing it will have a massive impact on the hospitals.
