This is not a place for a construction. There are private homes on this narrow road and this will create congestion and headache for years. There isn’t a property here that can be developed safely, quickly or strategically. This will disrupt the land and the animals living up there and prevent us from getting emergency services when needed due to trucks blocking the one lane street of westwanda.

Hello Rio: Thanks for your input. We have no issue with anyone remodeling there house based on applicable legal standards and community rules. However this developer is asking for entitlements that are in direct violation of the basic hillside ordinance in a geologically unstable area that is prone to mudslides . In addition our community has experienced several major fires that imperil all humans and wildlife in the last few months, Our community is located in an area with only a single road for entry and exit. The recent Campfire holocaust documents the dangers inherent re this reality. This proposed development is the wrong project, at the wrong location, at the wrong time!

This guy is trying to build 2,802 S.F., 33' height on a 13,255 S.F. PARCEL and you all are giving him a hard time.. here - look at the case - have ANY of you spent ANY time researching this BEFORE you damned it? http://planning.lacity.org/pdiscaseinfo/CaseId/MjAyNTM10 What happens when you need a cement delivery for your remodel ? or you need to make a repair? The problem is.. You're a bunch of selfish entitled twats - how do you think your house got there?? I bet you all are the same people who cry that we need more housing for the homeless! Who's gonna build it? Where is it gonna go? Well . not here! Not by me! If I were this guy I would apply to subdivide the lot for low income housing and take the hit just to teach all you pricks a lesson. - not in my back yard!!!! You all make me sick you lousy hypocrites. Do unto your neighbor...

We need to stop new developments that harm natural environments and focus on improving the structural integrity, function and use of existing structures in the city!

It is appalling that permits and variances are granted for this disastrous project. How is the hillside ordinance helping our community?

We must preserve what little nature we have left in our city and county. Development has been out of control for too long. Please do not allow this project to go forward.

This area is not the proper place for such a development. The mere act of application for a construction permit of this scope demonstrates such a blatant disregard towards adjacent neighbors and the overall Westwanda/B.C. community and ecosystem that it borders on malicious intent and should be denied.

Please do not destroy one of the last vestiges of natural beauty & habitats remaining in LA. The city of angels must protect and preserve Charter Oak Lane for it is truly an angelic place.
