This was my favorite spot for years. It is not just another bar. It is a community. Felissa and Elia are anchors for thousdands who have spent time there. Let them buy it! Why in the world would you not? Please do the right thing.

I sang at Bar Sepia with my amazing group of Brazilian musicians and it was a special event for us. Our audience loved Bar Sepia and it would be amazing to continue the community that this space and the owners have built.

Bar Sepia is more than a bar. It's a place where community means something, where they celebrate the losses and joys of life. From people who left this world too early to happier times like our engagement party where my husband and I were surrounded by our friends including everyone who worked at Bar Sepia. This place was like our living room, an extension of our home and family. We moved into Ditmas Park a few years ago and we can't visit as often as we'd like but knowing it's still a warm home to the Prospect Heights neighborhood is really wonderful to see. Places like Bar Sepia are special and need to be preserved - community is everything.

Bar Sepia is a neighborhood institution. Delissa is a civic powerhouse, a community magnet, and if it were up to me, she'd be landmarked and protected! Not only did she take a chance on the neighborhood almost 15 years ago--she has since invested not only in her business but in everyone and everything around her. There simply isn't a more welcoming and inclusive place around, and she should be given a chance to stay. For good.
