The demolition plans are officially off the table. It has been a long and draining struggle but I am grateful we held our ground for the sake of the building. We need to stay vigilant to ensure they actually follow through on repurposing the space properly.

Bucks County Council with AVDC want to demolish the right-hand building (Aylesbury's former police station which is part of a Conservation Area) to make way for a temporary car park. This building could be put to good use with the right backing and a number of people are trying to get the councils to reconsider their plans. Please sign this petition to show your support for saving this old building.

The council has stopped responding to my emails about the station entirely. It is exhausting to keep pushing against this wall of silence but I am not walking away from this building yet.

One hundred people have joined this fight to save our station. It is exhausting to see how easily they want to tear down our history but seeing these names gives me the grit to keep going.

I was born &brought up in aylesbury. it is mostly unrecognisable to the old aylesbury. would be good to turn into accomodation. people are more important than car parks. start a park & ride like other major towns & cities.

It is very important to keep this building which visually links to the Old County Offices which I believe are included in the new plans with change of use. Also somewhat mitigates the ugly and un-interesting 'sheds' to the right.

Aylesbury was decimated of its historical buildings in the sixties but it looks like there is a new generation of philistines who think destorying the past for car parks is acceptable.

This old building should stay it is part of the towns heritage. It is a sound building made to last and therefore should be used for something like a restaurant or public house. Better still a place that can be accessed by the whole community in times of need,.... a hostel, food bank, community centre e.t.c.

Most new buildings are built on a budget and done quickly. They are rarely nice, don't age well and lack any sort of character. Now they want to demolish this historic building for a temporary car park?! Ridiculous.

This building has memories for me, my Dad was a serving Police Officer there for many years before he retired. Why can't the powers that be leave some buildings alone - everything is going one by one.

I can't believe that Bucks County Council is even thinking about demolishing this lovely building, what is wrong with them, having lost nearly all of Aylesburys beautiful old buildings to some short sighted money making ventures. Aylesbury looks like every other bland boring town I've ever been through, it used to be stunning as a Market Town. STOP this mindless destruction and leave a shred of character for this once worth a visit town, and for all of us that LIVE here. Patricia Walker.

there are plenty of parking spaces around the town. Don't ruin more of this towns history
