I really never expected so many people to feel this strongly about our island birds but I am hearing stories from folks who have lived here for decades and their anger is totally justified. I am currently trying to track down exactly where those trucks took them because this whole quiet removal process feels really shady to me.

We watched a chick grow to an adult this season....something some children will never experience if these birds are not returned.
We live on Karen St. We walk almost every day and miss the beautiful neighborhood peacocks. Boo to the people who called to have them removed... that is their home and habitat and MOST of the surrounding neighbors enjoy their beauty, funny squawks, babies and having them be a part of the community. Hopefully they make it back!!!
I sincerely hope we can get the birds back. 99% of the neighborhood enjoyed the birds. It is a real shame that two of our so called neighbors snuck around and tried to do this to all of the rest of us. There are so many ways to keep the birds out of your yard if you don't want them there I can't count them all.
I was born and raised in Fernanduna Beach and loved seeing these birds roaming free for as long as I can remember. It is cruel that someone would remove this beautiful creatures and take them away from their home. Justice need to be done and the birds need to be returned. Count me in on any needed actions to help do this.
I lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years on Karen St and Scott Rd ...these birds have always been there and should be returned !! How does one or two people speak and have the authority to act on this ...the majority wants these birds back !!
Peacocks are beautiful and important creations of GOD. As such, we must be thankful for these precious gems by helping to protect them and their respective habitats.

I have family that lives on Scott Rd. I go as often as possible. My children and I love feeding the peacocks and searching the yard for feathers. I could sit on my aunt's patio for hours watching these beautiful birds. Please bring these birds back home.
