The bulldozers have been officially ordered to halt their work in the Akamas. My exhaustion is heavy but knowing the forest is safe brings a relief I cannot fully describe. We have to keep watching the area to ensure this decision remains permanent.

The days feel long and the obstacles keep surfacing but I am still here pushing for Akamas. We need to reach one thousand signatures to force them to acknowledge our demands. Keep pushing because the forest cannot wait for us to get tired.

The bulldozers are still creeping closer and my patience is wearing thin. We are nearing a hundred signatures but we need to push past this point right now if we want them to notice us. Please send our link to anyone who might actually care about what happens to this land.

These planned developments are a case of the few taking from the many. It's a symptom of corruption and will kill any chance of sustainable tourism gaining a foothold in the region.
Akamas belongs to everyone and politicians must understand that we do not need another part of Cyprus explored. For so many thousands of years it was protected and visited freely by Cypriot citizens and tourists, we do not need borders in Akamas because some people saw a profit and want to sell it WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT
Please keep this land pristine for all to enjoy. Τα εθνικά πάρκα μας πρέπει να διατηρηθούν για τις επόμενες γενιές, ειδικά με το περιβαλλοντικό πρόβλημα που αντιμετωπίζουμε σήμερα.
Η χλωρίδα και Πανίδα της χώρας μας, καλό είναι να παραμένει όπως αυτούσια δημιουργείται και όχι να υποστεί αλλοιωση από εξωγενείς παράγοντες, όποιοι κι' αν είναι οι λόγοι ή οι σκοποί ή ακομη τα συμφέροντα για τους οπίους θα γίνουν τα έργα.
As a lawfull citizen of Cyprus, i dont agree with any form of alteration of the natural forest of Akamas. It must remain untouched!!!

Δεν πρέπει ποτέ να δωθη άδειά για οικοδόμηση όσα και αν είναι τα συμφέροντα. Όταν πάτε σε άλλες χώρες που έχουν παρόμοιες περιπτώσεις δεν δικαιούται κανείς να κάνει ούτε κιόσκι πχ Νότια Αφρική. Ανατρέξετε να δείτε όλα τα πάρκα.
