I am actually shaking because the doors are staying open and honestly I still cannot believe it worked. My heart is so full for everyone who put their name down for those 261 signatures and I really think we should all keep a close eye on the funding just in …

Adapt/CDT is due to close its doors forever on July 7th This is a much needed service for not only people in addiction but also their families. Closing the doors will leave vunerable people with nowhere left to turn. We can't let this happen. Please sign and share this petition and show the people in power that our community will always stand behind the many wonderful people who do and have worked here over the years and the hundreds of people who still desperately need this service.

I just refreshed the page and saw that we hit 250 names which feels totally surreal because this started as just a frantic idea in my kitchen one night. Honestly it is all so overwhelming thinking about how many people actually care about ADAPT keeping the doors open when so many others seem to just want to look away.

Fantastic Service .. to paraphrase a quote..To save one life is to save a whole family....This service opened its doors to my loved one and created a safe place for hm to dig the foundation s for his recovery....

Closing down these much needed and valued services will push vulnerable people back into active addiction which will in the long run cost the state more to sort out. It simply doesn't make sense.

This is a crying Shame. It really annoys me. As a user of this facitity I cannot believe some people are even considering that we don't need Maureen and her team. Lifesaver they genuinely are

As as founding member of the Mountview / Blakestown Community Drugs Team and also ADAPT I'm really saddened that this decision has been made by the board. I urge people to sign this petition, we must ensure that the services provided by ADAPT are delivered by a community based project and not the HSE!

The full service currently being offerd by Adapt, is vital to, not only improving the quality of life and the further prospect of people struggling with substance issues. But also in combating that devastating effect drug abuse has on the community as a whole.
