The school board finally folded and the funding for YPI is fully restored. We jammed their inboxes and made it impossible for them to ignore us. Keep your guard up because these bureaucrats will try to dismantle this program again if we stop paying attention.

We hit one hundred signatures today and the school board can no longer ignore this. These bureaucrats thought they could just gut our after school program in the dark, but they were wrong.

YPI provides a safe place for students. Not only do they provide a safe physically safe space, but also emotionally safe place. Staff from YPI go above and beyond for their students. Many students call the program their home away from home and it would be such a shame to see this program end.

These programs provide a safe haven for kids that can be in incredibly difficult situations. Their parents or guardians have to work long hours and the after school care allows these students a supportive environment to work at academics and creative endeavors.

These after school programs is how I selected my career. Ten years after I graduated Marshall, I can say I wouldn’t be working for Hulu, and interviewing for Facebook if I wasn’t allotted these after school opportunities.

I am a Marshall HS parent. Please reconsider decision not to fund Marshall HS after school programs. This is very important program and critical to student success

Ypi has made such a huge impact on my life. As a dancer, ypi allowed me to grow and develop in my craft and as a person, so they really do mean a lot to me and my peers.

Please keep YPI at John Marshall High school. The program is an integral part in our basketball program. To have a way that children can have something to do and somewhere to go after school plays a big part in students success and keeping them out of trouble. Some of them eat there before going home. It’s just a great program that John marshall truly needs
