Allow Reasonable Front Side Window Tinting in Saskatchewan

I had very light tint on my front windows for several reasons, as stated here. I was caught and had to remove it, and while I was pulled over, the cop kept fishing for other vehicle modifications to ticket me on (all of which were legal) and she argued with me that they were illegal modifications which they clearly are not (black housing headlights, for example). This is why I 100% agree that it is merely a money grab. My tint was hardly even noticeable.

I don't get how sgi gets to dictate and make laws !! It's like a shop owner telling you " you have to buy this " or nothing !

Should be allowed reasonable tint

there is no direct correlation between window tinting and accident rates which is the reason they have for banning them in saskatchewan. The law should be repealed to allow up to 20% on the driver's side

sgi is such a joke and is a true money grab by making very vehicle that comes out of province with tint to be removed(60.00 a window) from what is see Sk is the only province with such law so the millions of other vehicles in Canada with tint go against what sgi claims

Within reason, I agree that tinting should be allowed.

I hope this actually makes a difference. I've been ticketed for it before and it's an absolute joke.

I think it should be legal. There's no reason for it not to be. It doesn't stop people from smashing windows to escape. I think it's better when you need to smash the window because then there isn't glass everywhere, it's shattered but still attached to the tiny and easy to remove.

Windows will shatter regardless of tint let's not kid ourselves it's a money grab. Ever where in America runs tinted windows. What's the difference, their gov doesn't care about the citizens as much as Canada's?...

I feel misguided about the law with why it's illegal. And why some provinces allow it and not others. It would save alot of police man and women's time not having to pull over people whilst other crimes are taking place.

do like what they are trying to do in Ab, tint helps keep vechile cool, doesn't obstruct views, and also makes it safer for drivers,

Just a big money grab, let's get with the times. Is Ontario seriously a better province then Saskatchewan when it comes to this matter?

There are more accidents per km driven in SK than most privinces in canada. SK eanks second after manitoba. Meaning (imo) maybe if we had some form of tint it will reduce the number of accidents. Ontario allows front window tints and manage to have less accidents per capita than us. Please look into this.

Make a more reasonable law towards windo tinting on cars.

Ontario also permits this, in fact I used to have 5% limo on mine and made day driving easier and reduced glare off objects in your peripheries. And lets face it, it looks phenominal. The only objection I can see is police are not able to easily identify individuals via side views.

I have sensitive eyes and having tint on my side windows would definitely improve visibility, especially with the sun in the mornings and evenings.
