I began a petition for the city to provide Crosswalks at the intersection of Mt.Vernon and 11th street also Mt.Vernon and 8th street. The community and I lost a good friend Bobby that worked at the store. He was hit by a car while walking to McDonalds for his supper. Bobby was the 5th person I personally knew to be killed at that location.

To elaborate on this there are now 2 elementary schools within a block of each other....why?? I do not know, but they are there. Here is the problem aside from losing our Friend Bobby, These children age 6 and up are forced to walk an extra block or two to the light to cross Mt. Vernon. You know and I know some will jaywalk. FACT! A double school zone with no safety???

My inbox was full of supporters wanting to sign but were not able to. A few that were residents in the area were asking me this morning does a person have to live in that ward. The answer is no. If they simply agree that all I need. I just want something to address to San Bernardino City council...period! I hope that others in and from the area will join me for something good.
