PETITION FOR REPEAL OF CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS ORDINANCE RELATING TO REGULATING SMOKING IN ALL PUBLIC PLACES. We, the undersigned qualified and registered voters in the City of Salina, Kansas, are in favor of the following Ordinance. We request, pursuant to K.S.A 12-3013, that the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, pass this ordinance within 20 days without alteration, or call a special election to submit the ordinance, without alteration, to the vote of the electors of the City of Salina, Kansas. Shall the following Ordinance become effective ORDINANCE NUMBER 09-10481 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING REGULATION OF SMOKING IN ALL PUBLIC PLACES WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Salina, Kansas, approved Ordinance 09-10481 regulating smoking in all public places: and WHEREAS, such ordinance regulating smoking in all public places has not been submitted or approved by the voters of the City of Salina, Kansas: and WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Salina, Kansas, and owners of businesses within the City of Salina, Kansas, do not desire further governmental regulation of their choice in all public places. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Ordinance Number 09-10481 of the City of Salina, Kansas This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its adoption by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, or after approval of a majority of the qualified voters of the City of Salina, Kansas. I have personally signed this petition. I am a registered elector of the State of Kansas and of the City of Salina, Kansas, and my residential address is correctly written after my name.
