I have been hearing from so many of you about the constant struggle for basic coverage and it honestly just confirms why this has to happen now. My inbox is essentially a messy collection of stories about missing benefits and it is all very exhausting but also keeps me going because none of us should have to live like this.

The producers make millions and we dont even get a lunch break half the time. totally unfair.
so many talented people leaving because you cant even pay rent on these bg rates. fix it.
Finally!! The industry is booming in NOLA but the bg actors get scraps. We deserve better pay and actual benefits.
its about time we get treated like real actors down here. tired of getting shoved around on set for pennies.

Louisiana isn’t the armpit of the film industry, but the treatment of the background talent in this state sure does STINK! I encourage all talent to stand together, united in solidarity, and REFUSE to work until our demands are met. Vive la résistance!
