Amending regulations for placement of safety signs

On behalf of the non-profit group "Our Little Angels",we propose amending the state statute's of placements of safety signs on state highways. On 8/3/12 two young girl's ages 9 and 6 lost their lives due to their mother having to yield at a stop sign that was 120 ft from the intersection of the upcoming highway. We feel that if had the stop sign been placed closer to the road and/or a reduced speed sign on the crossing hwy that their lives might have been spared. Most specifically we feel also that the reduced speed sign will benefit due to the fact that how the road is made. The "dangerous" intersection is Hwy M and Hwy 153. The mother was traveling West on Hwy 153 and the other vehicle was traveling North on Hwy M. Hwy M has a slight dip and hill in the road and driver's of both vehicles claim that seeing one another was "very difficult." The speed limit on Hwy M is 55 mph,but by placing a cautionary sign the vehicles will have more time to see oncoming modes of transportation. We are hoping that by amending the regulation's that lives may be spared.
