The LACCD needs to continue with lower class sizes for Spring 2022 for health and safety reasons. We currently have classrooms not being cleaned, water fountains not working, lack of food on campuses, unclean bathrooms, IT problems with smart classroom equipment not working in many of our classrooms, and these conditions are not appropriate for adding more students and classes on campus.

Not just for safety but it's way better for pedagogy to have small class sizes. I realized that this semester while teaching small classes for the first time!

To ensure a safe learning environment in light of the pandemic situation, it is imperative that we reduce class sizes to allow 6 ft between each student and the instructor. Please help your students and your instructors by mandating reduction in class size to accommodate needed social distance in class rooms.

I support the movement toward smaller class sizes for both credit and non-credit courses. No course, pre or post pandemic, should ever have caps as high as 42 students. It does a great deal of disservice to faculty and especially the students we're trying to serve; in light of the pandemic, it poses health risks to everyone involved.

We need to keep our classes even if only 10 students sign up. Remote classes don’t have overhead lin in person classes do. Focus on advertising the course.
