Having lost a loved one to COVID as many of our students and faculty, the trauma is compounded by politics. Show your support of rebuilding a vibrant campuses through flexible options like HyFlex which meets the needs of Admin to have full sections of 42 student and the safety needs of faculty, students & staff by allowing social distancing. Strategically invest HERFF funds to buy HyFlex technology like OWLs which actually give us a competitive edge with private online schools while still remaining committed to our community needs. Equity means creating options not one oversimplified general rule. Use multiple boxes (options) for our students & faculty to stand on (like the equity cartoon of the kids trying to look over the fence) and I am certain people will perform better when they feel heard & respected.

I support a reduction for non credit classes as well. This will also make social distancing more feasible.

The reduced class size would be an academic ideal even without the presence of a contagious virus.

Smaller class sizes - period for learning purposes, PPE, and cleanliness of the campus facilities for public health should be a value for LACCD.

This is super important for students mental health and teachers mental health too! Nobody can run on an empty cup during times of high stress and rising levels of depression.
