The proportion of enrollments in the LACCD are currently overwhelmingly online - this is clearly what many students, faculty, and staff want. Why are you pushing students, faculty, and staff back in person, especially with unsafe, large class caps? This is the exact opposite of prioritizing the health, safety, and wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff the LACCD claims it cares about. Students, faculty, and staff deserve the option to remain online during a still-raging pandemic.

Keep class sizes down. We should not be the only college campus in the state of California who caps class sizes at 42+. This is a civil rights issue since we are a mostly poc campus.

Going back to regular class numbers while the pandemic still exist , will contribute towards a higher level for social inequity. Our students had enough trauma with experiencing social inequity before the pandemic , and placing them into full capacity face to face classrooms will be an action and message supporting social inequity in our campuses. Students and employees at all campuses deserve to be protected . We are committed to fight social inequity by having reduced class cap and reduced in person services while COVID 19 is still active in all communities.

Counseling faculty and students seeking counseling services on campus are particularly at risk as appointments are over 30min in a confined space that doesn't allow for adequate social distancing. Decisions are being made by administrators, senior staff, etc. that have large office spaces (some 2-3 times larger than typical and most faculty offices) and who do not see students face to face during their entire shift. Our safety is not their concern. Bodies on campus and students in classes is their priority, at any cost. The cost is our health and safety.
