- Create a dedicated bus priority lane, so the bus is faster.
- Create protected bike lanes along all of Columbia between 16th & Connecticut.
- Close a section of Champlain St to cars, connecting Unity Park to the surrounding neighborhood.

The bus routes on this section are so often delayed that I actively avoid using it. S2 used to be the same way, but the bus lanes have had an extreme improvement in the right direction. Replicating that success for this route only makes sense.
I take the bus to and from work everyday on Columbia Rd and on the way back traffic is so congested. The bus only lane will make commuting faster. Adding protected bike lanes would also make it safer for all commuters. I strongly support this project.
I ride a bicycle on this street on an almost daily basis, and often with my two young (under 10) kids. The street isn't safe enough for us. A few simple improvements can protect lives without causing much inconvenience for car drivers.
I am a Dupont circle resident who would visit Adams Morgan and Mount Pleasant much more frequently if I could take the bus and/or bike there safely and quickly, unlike now. This project will make that a reality. Please proceed to construction without delay!

There are currently no all ages and abilities bike lanes in/through Adams Morgan. I currently avoid riding my bike in this area because I don’t feel comfortable. A protected bike lane on Columbia would likely be my primary route from Columbia Heights to Dupont Circle
