We, the undersigned residents of Clinton Township, area Business Owners/Managers, and or concerned citizens, are opposed to the re-zoning (to SP-1 special purpose) and use of the vacant building and property also located near the Harper Avenue and Fifteen Mile Road intersection as a shelter for homeless and mentally ill/chronic substance abusing men. While this collaborative project will provide much needed services for homeless men, we feel that the proposed shelter/clinic poses a serious threat and detriment to the quality of life in the neighborhood.
