I have been overwhelmed by the level of engagement you have shown regarding this issue. It is clear that so many of you are deeply moved by the implications of this judgment. I am currently working on drafting a formal follow up to the office of the Prime Minister and will update you as soon as there is something to report.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I first started it. This momentum is entirely yours because you saw the injustice and decided to speak out against it.

These discrimination betray a horrifically bigoted and prejudiced view, and mean that Eric pickles lacks the values, judgement and ability to fulfil his role as an elected representative. He must resign immediately.
This man is definitely racist. No way should he be communities secretary when he is biased against Gypsies/Romanies/Travellers. He has used his position to try to discredit this ethnic minority by say that all Travellers want is a site in Green Belt which is untrue. Many applications froml private individuals and commercial groups are putting in planning applications in the Green Belt.. If he is not going to decide them all then he shouldnt decide Travellers.Also it is not up to him to tell me I am not a Gypsy/Traveller just because i no longer travel.
He is meant to be showing fairness in planning so why doesn't he get his councils to build site for travellers
He is biased against one of the communities so therefore not doing the job he is getting paid for.
Mr Pickles should be removed from his post with immediate effect, refusal to remove him would send out the message that the Government have no regard for the law
This man deserves no positions of power - he simply abuses them for his own agenda.

This man should be sacked for being racist towards gypsys and travellers if it was any other minority group he would be gone already
